Jason Dickson joins Unify Communications
We’re pleased to announce that Jason Dickson, formerly of CCT and Capita IT Services has joined Unify Communications as part of our Business Development team.
Of the move, Jason said: “I worked in the Avaya channel for 17 years – from SDX through to the Nortel acquisition, ‘the Blue/Red question’ and right up until the most recent Chapter 11 Bankruptcy. It would seem to me that my career has coincidentally spanned the lifecycle of these products(!), with the latest bankruptcy news perfectly underscoring the challenge faced by traditional vendors as they attempt to transition to software and services (instead of hardware). It has been a fascinating 17 years, but the time has come to make the move into working with next generation, ‘true cloud’ technology which is what I’ll be doing at Unify Communications. I’m looking forward to it!”
Jason joins a number of other former traditional technology vendors among the team, including Unify Communications’ CEO and Founder Russell Attwood.
“I made the move away from selling Avaya in 2011, when I felt that the risks associated with the longevity of these types of platform (traditional, on-premise rather than forward thinking/cloud-based) had started to grow – and I haven’t looked back since!” said Russell. “If anyone wants to discuss what’s happening and explore their options, get in touch.”
